Cuyahoga County’s districting process must be completed by September 1, 2021.

Under normal circumstances, the census data needed for districting would be released in April and the Districting Commission would have 120 days to accomplish its assigned task. This year, however, the 2020 Census was not completed on time and the necessary population data was not released until August 12, 2021, forcing the Cuyahoga County Districting Commission to complete its work in less than three weeks.

Despite the compressed timeline, the Cuyahoga County Districting Commission is committed to making the districting process open, transparent, fair and accountable to Cuyahoga County residents.

The Commission invites the citizens of Cuyahoga County, interested parties, and the media to visit the site on a regular basis as we work to complete the vitally important task of revising the County Council Districts. Questions and comments are welcome and may be submitted here.
